How to Set up an Alert on the Active Rain Referral Network

How to Set up an Alert on the Active Rain Referral Network

An article written by another loan professional that was featured today about Referral Fees, RESPA violations and how it affects the realtor-lender relationship (note: only full access members can view this article) got me to thinking about a blog topic that was recently suggested by my trainer of the trainers, Steven Monet.

So today, I am going to give a brief overview about the acceptable types of content for the referral network, along with the added bonus of a step by step guide detailing how to set up an Alert on the Active Rain Referral Network.

It is very easy To Set up an Alert on the Active Rain Referral Network.

Step One: From Your Active Rain Control Panel, Click on the Words "Referral Network"

Active Rain Referral NetworkStep Two: Click on "Referral Alert"  This is where you can set up multiple referral alerts for whatever your pleasure. (See the example screen shot to the left). One thing I would stress is, -- The Referral Network is NOT a place to advertise yourself - such as "Please contact me for all your client in <wherever you practice>."  That is what your Active Rain Blog and SEO trainings are for.  Let me know if you need help doing that.

Step 3: Create the Actual Alert.  Fill in the neccesary information to create the alert that you want.  Just as we practice, train and mentor on geographically specific - Same rule applies here.
